This hub organizes One Paper exam preparation (NTS, PPSC, FPSC and similar one-paper competitive tests) by syllabus area, so you can go straight to what you need to study. It is actively growing -- areas with published content are linked below; areas still being built are marked accordingly, so you always know exactly what's ready to use.

A One Paper Preparation Roadmap

A one-paper test is a single, time-limited objective paper that covers many areas, so the aim is broad, accurate coverage and speed. The subject mix, number of questions, duration and marking differ by department and are set in each advertisement, so confirm them there before you commit to a plan. This hub does not state a pattern or marking scheme for any specific test.

Step 1 – Read the advertisement. List the subjects it names and any specialist section. Give most hours to what is actually tested. Step 2 – Build the core. Start with General Knowledge, Pakistan Affairs and current affairs, because they feature in most one-paper tests. Step 3 – Add the skill subjects. English, everyday science, computer basics, reasoning and quantitative aptitude reward daily practice more than long reading. Step 4 – Practise under the clock. Move from topic-wise sets to full timed papers. Step 5 – Revise from your error log. Re-attempt every question you missed or guessed.

How to Approach Each Subject Area

General Knowledge and Pakistan Affairs. Learn facts in clusters (people, places, dates, institutions) with one-line notes, and revise them weekly. Current affairs. Read a trusted source daily, note who, what, when and why, and review monthly. English. Practise grammar, sentence correction, vocabulary and comprehension in timed sets; see the English Preparation Guide. Everyday science and computer. Learn definitions and common examples and practise short MCQs; for computer basics see the basic computer notes. Reasoning and quantitative aptitude. Learn each question type once, then drill for speed. Islamic Studies. Revise standard topics from reliable texts.

Practice, Mock Tests and Revision

Practise in the MCQ Centre, then sit timed papers from the Test Series to find weak areas. The Test Series is growing and still at an early stage, so treat it as one of several practice sources. After each set, write down why the correct option is right, and revise weak topics within a week. Keep your sessions short and daily rather than long and occasional.
